Todtmoos
Christmas Market
The main part of the market is found on the street running up to the church.
There are manyas well as waffles and hot chocolate. The main high street
is lined with large Christmas trees, all brightly lit. When it snows you
would not be lying if you described it as a winter wonderland. It still
looks spectacular when it doesn't snow.
One of the most popular stands was the one selling large sausages in bread
rolls with onions and mustard. While you are looking round the Christmas
market in Todtmoos in the Black Forest brass bands play Christmas music
to accompany your visit. The market day ended with the arrival of St Nicholas.
We saw him arrive in a car but don't tell anyone. He gave a present to
all the children which consisted of a satsuma, nuts and chocolate.
